Nowadays there are several types of dimming modes for LED lights
1. Constant current source + dimming led driver (constant voltage) + light source ( needs to add current limiting resistor)
2. Phase cut dimming dimmer + dimmable constant voltage source + light source (requires current limiting resistor)
This mode is generally suitable for home decoration applications, such as soft and hard light strips, lighting products that have higher power requirements, and the lighting products themselves are separated and assembled flexibly.
3. APP dimming, this kind of mobile dimming is generally suitable for a product with higher personalization requirements or more specific controllability.
4. Triac dimmer + dimmable led power supply + light source (lamps)
This dimming mode is generally adapted to commercial lighting, where the light source is driven together, the dimmer is separated elsewhere, typically mounted on a wall, and a dimmer is used to dim multiple fixtures.
5. Constant voltage source + dimming led driver (constant current) + light source
This mode is suitable for home lighting, generally like table lamps, floor lamps, frames, etc. Separating the high power and low power, and controls the luminaire at the low power end, which is safer and more reliable, and the certification is easy to pass.
