As the times goes, more and more led drivers are released in the market. Byt how should we get a good led driver when you buy them? Here are some factors you need to focus on.

1. The level of PFC (power factor)

Sometimes, it not good performance when you choose a high PFC led driver, but the overall ramp wave is small, ripple is small, and interference is low (because some manufacturers deliberately make PFC very high but ignore the electromagnetic compatibility part).

2. Conversion efficiency

The conversion efficiency, the magnitude and stability of the deviation value, make an analogy: AC170-250V is the working voltage range, I can try to debug from 170V-250V, the constantly changing voltage from low to high can be seen on the power meter Whether the "conversion efficiency, PFC" fluctuates greatly to prove its stability.

3. Check whether the temperature rise of the power supply is high.

4. Periodic aging test fo r the UL listed led power supply,

The aging of the lamp with continuous power supply can detect the attenuation of the lamp beads and whether the heat dissipation of the lamp housing is good.

5. Detect the instantaneous impact current to the lamp beads when starting up.

6. Detect the stability of constant current led driver .

7.Detect the protection function of the power supply: whether it has over-temperature protection, over-voltage protection, over-current protection, short-circuit protection. 8. Hit high voltage: Whether the input to output can exceed 3000V withstand voltage. Whether the input can pass 1500V withstand voltage to ground.
