What happens if you use non-dimming bulbs on dimmer switches

It was uncommon for led bulb power supply to be dimmable when it first released. With the development of dimmable driver led light technology, dimming function came into our lives. As we all know that, dimming makes our life more eco-friendly and dimming drivers are widely used in the lighting applications.

Some of the clients will ask, what happens if you use non-dimming bulbs on dimmer switches? If a non-dimming bulbs installed in the lighting application with a dimmer switch, it will likely operate normally if the dimmer is at its 100% or fully on. If you would like dim the non-dimmable led driver with dimmer switch, it may cause the flickering or buzzing and sometime it may damage to the bulb. Hence we suggest keeping the bulb at full power. Another clients may ask, if you do not have a dimming switch installed, does installing dimmable LEDs cause any issues? The answer is not, dimmable LEDs when installed in a non-dimming switch will operate at 100% output and will run just as well as if they were installed with a dimming switch.
