DALI (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface) is a broadly used for communication protocol to control lighting system. The protocol operates in accordance with the international standard which make sure to arrange light digitally. The components of DALI may be from various vendors, however DALI is an intelligent system which their components communciate with each other always. they would still work in one system.

An advantage that using DALI dimming system is the flexibility in the manner in which the devices can be addressed. At the simplest level, all DALI controlled devices could be set to the same address, this is called broadcast mode that allow to control all devices at once. With the single mode DALI systems can receive one of the 64 short addresses, which be able to control each DALI device individually, thus with the group mode it is also possible to control groups, group mode can count up to a total of 16 groups, in various combinations.
