What is a lamp driver?

The LED lamp driver manages the input voltage and current according to the voltage and current level of the lamp, and provides the current required by the lamp to drive one or more LEDs.


The advantage of LEDs is that they do not need a lot of power to make them run. LED actually relies on a DC power supply to work at a fairly low voltage (usually between 2V and 4V per unit). Therefore, the slim led drivers is not only able to convert alternating current to direct current, but also helps to protect the LED from any surge that may occur, which can cause the LED to overheat and become a problem.

When you look at flood light led drivers products on the market, you will notice that there are two different types-constant voltage and constant current. These two versions of the driver are suitable for different lamp applications and they are not interchangeable.
