After our engineers testing, we found that electronic transformer has simple circuit structure, lack of output control circuit, feedback circuit and output filter circuit, so there is larger load regulation, voltage regulation and higher Pk-Pk voltage; UL dimmable LED driver could work precisely due to complete cirtuit structure with EMI filter circuit, output voltage/currecnt control circuit, output feedback circuit and output filter circuit, so smaller load regulation and voltage regulation, and lower Pk-Pk voltage. what is more, output is direct-current (DC).
Because triac LED driver could work well under DC and it is extremely sensitive to change for voltage and ripple, so Electronic transformer is not suitable for LED light while UL dimming LED driver is the best choice.
Electronic transformers work with AC output, peakvalue=33.6V.When load it with 24V LED light, Peak voltage value will passover the LED rated voltage,which will shorten LED's life-span. Switching LED power supplies with DC output, their peak voltage values are 1.6V & 0.8V, which are very small, it will no affect the LED's life-span
Electronic transformer: when loading from 0~100%, the output voltage is 22~40V.If the LED working voltage is 24V and the transformer is full loaded,the output voltage is only 22V actually,the LED light is no brightness enough. When loading less than 20%,LED light become very brightness.When the transformer output voltage higher than (4.2V*6PCS) 25.2V,it will burn down the LED. Swiching LED power supply:when load it from 0 to 100%,output voltage changing rate lower than 0.1%, the LED light working stablely in their working voltage range.
